I just finished freeing and I really liked it. This is the story of Mark and Jase. Mark and Jase were in Fading (Candace and Ryan) This is basically in Jase's POV at the time of Fading. If you havent read Fading, you absolutely have too. Freeing can be read alone but it is much better to read Fading first. Freeing is about Mark and Jases relationship. Its about heartbreak, love, and acceptance. Mark has been out for awhile and Jases is just recent so it is much easier for Mark to be who he is



Holy cow. I didn't know if I could possibly love Jase's story in Freeing more than I loved Candace's story in Fading, but I did. And here's why-- E.K. Blair effortlessly manages to tell Jase's story in a way that feels both independent and interwoven with Candace's, but never repetitive. Freeing largely revolves around Jase struggling with his insecurities, and his eventual acceptance of his own worth. By the end of the book, I felt like I was leaving my best friend behind. SO the most freeing thing about this book was deciding to free myself from reading it..because it is that ridiculously-ridiculous. This story is like a co-dumb-dependant fixation of an unentertaining kind involving a nauseatingly-damaged bestie (female) who he spends more time cuddling/sleeping with than his current male love interest (because she reminds him so much of his dead sister O.o) And..there is a love story supposedly somewhere in all this..of the male persuasion but good luck finding

FREEING is a heartfelt story that engages the reader in Jase's journey as he evolves on numerous levels mentally, physically and emotionally as he seeks acceptance from himself and others for being a gay man. It's a tender story about bonding, trusting and self discovery at its finest. EK Blair wrote another compelling and captivating book that's raw, real and relevant. Thanks for opening my eyes to the love between Jase & Mark .. It's HOT!

Note to self: If I ever decide to read in public, make sure it is Shakespeares biography or Lockes treaties, not books where tears are streaming down my face, heart so full of emotion it might actually burst, and random people looking at me like I came from a lunatic asylum.In many ways, this book was a first for me. Its my debut in reading m/m romances and can I say, HOLY FLYING COW?! Not only was the book packed with an intensity that is rare to find in today's New Adult genre, but also is
