Great story, talented storyteller but the doctrine spread throughout - more heavily than in past books - is so ridiculous, tv preacher-like, it makes the whole thing soap-opera-ish and cheapens the politics and action.I've read several of this series and they were really good. This particular book was a little less good to me.
Even though this is the standard spy-thriller, its still quite good. In terms of technical novel-writing, it succeeds at all levels. It also communicates an urgency for the gospel. This book was a political and religious nightmare. The author clearly favored Christianity and Judaism over Islam. I think it provides a really skewed negative view of Islam, which is really unfortunate and disrespectful. I am a Christian, but from the way the author worded everything about God and Jesus, I want to become an atheist.
