Had this book when I was in middle school and re-read it today. Unlike a lot of books I read back then, this one was actually still enjoyable now.

Cute and I liked the fact I actually learned more about American history by simply reading YA.However, it's not a great outstanding special book or anything but very sweet. On to book 2 in the series though!

This is a very short, but lovable historical fiction book set near the start of the American Revolution. It focuses on the life of a young girl living during that time who has a very revolutionary spirit. While this book isn't a literary masterpiece it's fun and entertaining. It is definitely a good book for young girls. I don't think it's the type of book to be used in the classroom, but it is definitely one to use to help encourage reading.
